Free Comic Workshop!

Use freeware 'Comic Life' to make digital comics a snap, produce high quality comics for posting on the web, including in a movie or printing out for friends.

There is not cost for the workshop, however bookings are essential.

Where and when?
Saturday 17th May at RMIT Hamilton, Ballarat Road.
10.30am - 4.30pm
Lunch and light snacks provided.

Hamilton Mircochipping Day!

When and where?
Melville Oval on Sunday 6th of April.

whats the cost?
To microchip your pet will cost $25, which is at a highly discounted rate.

whats is all about?
Microchipping your pet is very important, so if they get lost their contact details are already in the system.
It is also by council law now that all pets over three months must be mircochipped.
Local vets from the area will be available between 10.00am and 2.00pm to microchip your animals at a discounted rate.

National Youth Week Dodgeball Tournament!

YouthBiz is excited to announce that we will be hosting the offical Dodgeball Tournament for National Youth Week celebrations! This exciting event will be held on Saturday the 12th April at the Hamilton Indoor Lesiure and Aquatic Centre from 1.00pm.

If you are between the ages of 12 – 25 and looking to take part in a sporting competition that is focussed on young people having fun and participating then Dodgeball is for you. No previous experience or skill is required, as you will be taught how to play at the event.

All players will compete for various prizes, certificates and perhaps even the glory of becoming the Dodgeball Champions! The day hopes to bring together the young people of the Southern Grampians Shire in an attempt to have fun, be active, and create friendships and respect of others.

This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking to be part of a fantastic and memorable event. Positions are likely to fill quickly, so for more information or an application please drop in at YouthBiz at 222 Gray Street, Hamilton. You can also contact Leanne and Mel on 03 5571 2233.

Want to be part of YouthBiz?!

What's it all about?
YouthBiz is now seeking memebers for its FreeZA commitee and 10mmm Action group.
FreeZA Commitee!
Consists of devoted music fans who meet at casual weekly meetings to put in their idea's for FreeZA's ( the underage, drug and alcohol free dance parties). Its a lot of fun meeting new friends and helping out on the FreeZA nights. Commitee members will be involved with the creation and promotion of every FreeZA event throughout the year.
10MMM Action Group!
The 10mmm action group take part in mutlimedia workshops and Your Say. They get to learn about new technologies, and take part in the creation on the quartly magazine 'Purple Couch'. A great way to get you're voice heard in the community and make a difference!

'MORPHED: The Dance of Life' Musical is here!

Whats it about?
This production is a special performance of an exciting new women's theatre group that has been developed by a team of women, aged from 15 through to 85 years.
The production will be based on local women's stories and experience. It will be a high quality, innovative new music theatre work that takes the audience on an insightful and entertaining journey into the worlds of ordinary people, who have the courage to change and how they embark on taking the first steps.
When and where?
"Morphed" will be staged in February/March 2008 at the Warrnambool Entertainment Centre, the Hamilton Atrs Centre and Portland Arts Centre.

Hamilton will be performed on Friday 14th of March at 11am

National Youth Tabacco Free Day 2008!

What is this day all about?
The theme for 2008 is 'Smoking in Movies'. There will be a national competition with stacks of prizes and lots of ideas about how you can get involved with the day.

When? Wednesday 19th of March
